Cookie Policy
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies are, how GOOD UNICORN LTD (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses them on www.goodunicorn.com, and how you can control your choices. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we may only store or access information on your device if it is strictly necessary for a service you have requested, or if you have given your consent.
2. How to change your choices
You can review and change your cookie choices at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page on this site. When you click it, a panel opens showing which categories are currently on or off. You can switch categories on or off and save your preferences, or reject all non-essential cookies in one step.
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. If you choose to withdraw, the site will remove the cookies and storage items it can reach and reload the page so that no third-party code continues to run.
You can also delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that doing so will mean you are asked for your preferences again on your next visit.

This cookie is written only after you have made a choice. It records the version of the policy you saw, the time of your choice, and a random identifier for the consent event. That identifier is not linked to you as a person and is not sent to any third party.
4. Functional cookies
These cookies enable optional features of the site. If you decline them, the affected feature will not be available.

5. Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. They are off by default and only loaded if you accept them.

6. Marketing cookies
These cookies are used to identify organisations that visit the site so we can follow up about our services. They are off by default and only loaded if you accept them.

7. Retention and scope
Your consent choices are stored for 180 days, after which you will be asked again. The consent record is scoped to the browser and device you are using. If you use a different browser or device, or clear your cookies, you will be asked for your preferences again. This is how all consent management works: syncing consent across devices would require identifying you, which is itself a tracking activity.
Please note that Safari limits cookies written via JavaScript to seven days, which means Safari users on this site may be asked for their preferences more often than users of other browsers. This is a known limitation we intend to address in a future update.
8. Third parties named in this policy
Where this policy names a vendor whose data is processed outside the United Kingdom (Microsoft Corporation and Apollo.io, both in the United States), we rely on appropriate safeguards under UK GDPR. You may contact us at hello@goodunicorn.com for further information about the safeguards in place.
9. Your right to complain

You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection and electronic privacy (www.ico.org.uk). We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when we add or remove vendors, or when the purpose of a category changes. When we do, the policy version number in our consent system will increase and you will be asked for your preferences again. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change.
