How to make people interact outside social media
After the mass adoption of social media, the Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer, Stephen Gray, became interested in the unethical strategy and design objectives of big tech's social products. The problem that inspired Resbite is that people spend hours each day scrolling through feeds, messaging friends they rarely see in person and replacing shared experiences with digital interaction. At the same time, loneliness, anxiety and screen dependency continue to grow, particularly among younger generations.
Our challenge wasn't to create another social platform. It was to design one that encouraged people to interact in the real world.

A relatable brand beyond the screen
Rather than adopting the visual language of traditional social media, we designed an identity that feels energetic, welcoming and optimistic. It celebrates curiosity, movement and shared experiences. The creation of humane characters makes the story relatable to the problems faced by society today.
The illustrations show individuals engaging in real-world activities, building relationships and sharing experiences. The result is a brand that encourages participation in the real world rather than attention inside the app.

We created a visual identity system: colour palette, typography and illustrations applied consistently.

Everything needed to meet in real life
Our UX approach focused on removing the barriers that often prevent people from turning online intentions into real-world actions. We analysed the journey of discovering activities, inviting participants, coordinating plans and confirming attendance, then simplified each step to reduce friction.
This helped eliminate many of the challenges typically associated with group chats, fragmented tools and complex coordination. The result is a platform that makes spontaneous real-world connection easier than passive online interaction.

The app combines practical planning tools with features that encourage meaningful interaction:
- Activity discovery
- Smart location suggestions
- Flexible invitations
- Group management
- Shared event chat
- Collaborative photo collections
- Expert activity recommendations
- Weather integration
- Hosted experiences
- Local guidance and safety features
App overview
The product design process began with a series of feature concepts and behavioural goals defined by the founder. We translated these ideas into user journeys, flowcharts and wireframes.
The app design aims to reconnect users with old friends, strengthen current relationships, and safely expand their social circle through friends-of-friends, all while suggesting fun activities to enjoy together.

As the product evolved, each feature was assessed based on its potential impact on the user experience, its alignment with Resbite's mission, and its role within the broader product strategy. This process helped shape both the feature set and early thinking around a future premium model, balancing business opportunities with the goal of maintaining a focused and meaningful user experience.
Website development
Alongside the product development process, we designed and launched a website to introduce the vision behind Resbite, validate interest, and begin building an early community around the concept. The site served as a key touchpoint for attracting potential founders, and generating initial traction ahead of the app launch.
Current status
We transformed Resbite from an early-stage concept into a venture-ready product with a clear strategic and visual foundation. Alongside the brand identity and website, we delivered a complete App v0 prototype. The experience was captured through a series of assets such as an explainer video, a product deck and a website, which were left ready to secure funding and pitch the project to potential stakeholders.
Resbite is now positioned for its next stage of growth, ready to recruit a founder and launch the app.
