The challenge

Turning rest into a habit people actually keep

Napp set out to tackle a common modern challenge: lack of sleep and rising stress. In fast-paced lives filled with endless to-do lists, people sacrifice rest to get more done, only to feel more drained, unfocused and less productive. Research shows that short naps can restore performance and overall wellbeing — so the opportunity was to make restorative rest accessible, science-backed and, crucially, habit-forming.

The approach

A smart nap assistant, backed by science

Our strategy was to design a smart nap assistant that makes restorative rest accessible and habit-forming, and to set the foundations for initial funding — a strong brand, product strategy, website, mobile and VR prototypes, and an investor pitch deck, all aligned with Napp's mission to help people feel and perform better through regenerative rest.

01

Guided learning journey

Napp doesn't just provide rest — it teaches users how to nap better over time, turning napping into a skill.

02

Dual product model

A mobile app for everyday guided sessions and a VR version for fully immersive, sensory rest experiences.

03

Personalisation

Adaptive nap scheduling, customisable soundscapes and user-preference-driven environments.

04

Progress tracking

Cognitive, physical and emotional metrics that show how consistent practice leads to lasting benefits.

Brand

A brand built to earn early confidence

At the pre-seed stage, building a strong brand was crucial for inspiring confidence, attracting early adopters and engaging investors. We shaped Napp's positioning around a simple, science-backed promise — guided rest and smart recovery — grounded in the real problem it solves and the people it serves.

Product

Two products, one restorative experience

We designed the end-to-end user experience for both the mobile app and the VR experience. The VR version was built in Unity and went through several rounds of testing and redesign, while the app was mapped from first-time use to a returning, habit-forming journey.

Traction

Foundations for funding

We laid the foundations for growth: a website to build early trust, mobile and VR prototypes to validate the concept, and an investor pitch deck that supported Napp's first steps towards securing funding.
